Through displaying intricate hand-built ceramics and collages which observe the natural world alongside industrial and semi-rural locations, Adele Howitt and Linda Ingham present Living Landscapes.
Both are inspired by the recent emergence of new wildflower and grass habitats: Howitt exploring the canal route which joins the Humber and Ouse to the Don, and Ingham researching sites close to the confluence of the Humber, Trent and Ouse and the River Tees.
The phenomenon of nature reclaiming the land from man-made and industrial locations along with the importance of interventions to conserve and support our wildflowers and grasslands inform series of ceramic sculptures and collages in Howitt and Ingham’s first foray into collaboration together and apart.
