The Ropewalk have recently taken on a lease for Baysgarth House and have capital funding secured to renovate the historic house. These opportunities are for immediate start to complete interpretation for two discreet areas, a cycle display in the stable block and a history of the house in the downstairs long gallery. Caretaker/Handy Person

We are looking for a Caretaker/Handy Person to join our team at The Ropewalk to work on a part time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for the light repairs and maintenance of the building. They will be a main keyholder for the building and carry out any cleaning and caretaking duties as required.

16 hrs per week: Monday 10am to 6.30pm, Tuesday – Friday 5pm – 7pm

Waiting Person

Start Date: June 2024 Hours: Every other Sunday 10:30-4:30 / Casual Worker 0hr contract

The Ropewalk Coffee Shop is looking for members of staff to join our team as a part time and casual summer worker. There is opportunity of a permanent part-time contract in September. You will be trained in all aspects of the coffee shop including pot wash, kitchen assistant and waiting person. You must be available to work at weekends and some evenings. If you are reliable, friendly and trustworthy and ready to help in any area of the kitchen & coffee shop and are over 16 and have left school we are interested in receiving your CV.

Summary of Main Duties & Responsibilities

Serving customers Waiting tables with food and drinks orders Taking orders Making coffees Wash pots. Clean wherever necessary. Follow Company Procedures and Rules. Ensure a high standard of customer service is provided at all times. To assist in the preparation of food. Maintain high standards of hygiene at all times in order to maintain our 5* ‘Scores on the Doors’ hygiene rating.
