Paul Collinson’s paintings show human attempts at relating to the pluralism in our world where there are no apparent absolutes. In a world of so-called modern technology how we perceive ourselves, each other and the world is predicated more on belief mediated by this technology and new media so that we become part of a self-fulﬁlling prophecy.

Steve Upton

Steve Upton’s painting depicts the out of placeness of the unseen artist’s artwork on the urban fabric. As the global population evolves into the city dweller the urban becomes an ever stranger site that is changing and evolving faster than we do and so we, as inhabitants, leave traces to signify our existence.
