Mrs Bertimus lives in a small village in Lincolnshire, where the skies are large and the fields are flat.
The changing colours of the seasons and the creatures that live there weave their way into her stories and artwork.
Sometimes as she paints, stitches or draws, the stories emerge as the image evolves, sometimes it pops into her head days or months after, and sometimes the secret is never shared with herself.
Nothing makes Bertimus happier than seeing her characters printed onto everyday objects, art can be part of our day-to-day lives and something that makes you smile every time you use it becomes a treasured part of life
